The Lockhart Magnetometer is compact, handheld, and incredibly sensitive detector for professional TSCM applications. It detects electronics in active, deep-sleep & standby-off modes through metal shielding and enclosures. The Lockhart Magnetometer extends TSCM capability beyond conventional RF detection by revealing hidden electronic devices that evade standard TSCM techniques. And, it extends TSCM capability beyond conventional RF detection.

It’s compact, handheld, and very sensitive.  The Magnetometer is optimized to locate electronics hidden within walls, ceilings, furniture, or metal enclosures. These spaces are often used to shield against RF-based detection, evading detection by near-field detectors and NLJDs.

How the Lockhart Magnetometer Works

The Magnetometer senses the very weak alternating magnetic fields emitted by all powered electronic circuits, even when switched off.  This includes hidden or dormant devices equipped with timers or oscillators. When paired with headphones, pulsing magnetic fields are translated into audible signals while simultaneously being visualized on the device’s amplitude-vs-time scrolling display.
